Our community is very proud of the rich tradition of the excellent academic programs and the varied opportunities for students. Facilities and Technology
The facilities at Pleasantville Community Schools rival any within our great state. All facilities are kept in great shape by our maintenance staff. Athletic venues are all located at the Pleasantville High School and all have been recently renovated and updated. The technology in the Pleasantville Community Schools continues to be a bright spot for our district. Each building is wireless and all of the classrooms at the middle school and high school and many at the elementary have their own projection units. All students in grades 6 - 12 are issued a MacBook laptop computer for their school usage. Students in grades 4 and 5 have laptop carts within their classrooms and students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 have iPads available within the classroom. We are very proud of our technology at the Pleasantville Community Schools.
Fine Arts play a major role in the development of our students. The music programs are outstanding and compete at the highest level within the state, as witnessed by state championships with the Pleasantville Debate Team. Large group and small group ensembles participate in both instrumental and vocal music. The high school produces a fall theater production on an annual basis. Individual, small group and large group speech are also very successful programs. The middle school participates in vocal and instrumental music, also competing locally and state-wide.
The students of Pleasantville Community Schools have many opportunities to participate in various clubs and organizations. All of the clubs and organizations within our district embrace the mission and vision of the district. Clubs and organizations available to our students include:

Many have advanced degrees. Staff members have been trained in the latest professional development for both their classrooms and with technology.
