Facility Usage / Facility Rental

The PCSD facility usage and facility rental page is the landing place for all policies, rules, regulations, and calendars related to facility usage and rental.

Philosophy and Purpose

This policy exists to assure and continue a positive and mutually supportive relationship between Pleasantville Community Schools and the community it serves.  It is the philosophy of the Board of Education that this policy shall encourage maximum utilization of school facilities to responsible individuals, groups, and organizations sponsoring activities in educational, cultural, civic, political, religious, or recreational use as permitted by Iowa Code, as long as those activities are not contrary to the public interest as determined by the Board of Education or as provided by law.

Spaces in District facilities deemed appropriate for community use may be scheduled for use by community members or organizations any day or time when such use will not interfere directly or indirectly with District programs or activities.
